If you are an operations team evaluating a CMMS for several sites, compare a completed maintenance workflow before comparing feature counts. PreventiveHQ is one option to evaluate. This page is written by its product team, not an independent ranking service.

Start with the incumbent’s strengths and your actual gap

Review the official Limble pricing and plan page for site scope, reporting, implementation support and the exact commercial package for your users. Plan descriptions and prices can change; verify the exact quote, billing term and inclusions when you buy. The existence of this comparison does not mean that the incumbent lacks a feature.

Write down why you are evaluating a switch: a task your technicians cannot finish, an unaffordable team configuration, a migration requirement or an unmanageable handoff. If the current product already solves the problem, configuration or training may be cheaper than moving data.

The acceptance test

Use the same asset and real task in both products. The test is whether the same maintenance process works for two sites while access, assignment and reporting remain understandable. Record the time, assistance and recovery needed, rather than relying on a polished demonstration with perfect sample data.

Check Evidence to retain
Create and assign work Asset, site, owner, due date and priority
Execute the task Required readings, findings, time and verification
Repeat the task Next calendar date or meter threshold and generated job
Retrieve history Another authorized user can find the completed record
Correct a mistake Supported correction with clear retained evidence
Leave the platform Exported fields usable by your team

Where PreventiveHQ is worth testing

PreventiveHQ combines asset records, procedures, calendar and meter schedules, work orders, labor, parts, downtime and reports. Its template library is editable before signup. A saved template draft can continue into the workspace and become a procedure with optional first work and recurrence.

Additional workflows cover fleet receipts and service meters, facility fault and readiness records, contractor quote-to-work records and manual production runs with OEE. Evaluate the module that matches your business rather than assuming these names imply every specialist integration.

Requirements to verify before switching

PreventiveHQ’s published workflow scope is the contract for this evaluation. Automatic telematics, property-system synchronization, machine connectors and full accounting synchronization are not established by a manual record screen. If you need one of these, include the actual integration and failure recovery in the acceptance test before committing.

Ask both vendors about your exact offline tasks, roles, history, attachment export and support process. An export may contain asset rows without preserving every procedure version, work-order attachment or audit event.

Migration and price comparison

Keep an original export from your current system. Map a small asset sample to PreventiveHQ’s current CSV template, preview it and resolve row errors before committing. Use the implementation checklist to validate the first job before moving more records.

Compare the total for the users and sites that need access, the billing commitment and any setup costs. PreventiveHQ pricing states its team capacities and current terms; use the incumbent’s official page or written quote for its side of the comparison. Do not compare a monthly equivalent on an annual contract with a cancellable monthly price as though the commitments were equal.

Make the decision with a real operating cycle

Keep the incumbent available during a bounded pilot. At the next due task, check that the team returned, the work was completed and a reviewer used its history. If a critical requirement fails, document it before expanding. No ranking claim or guaranteed migration saving substitutes for that evidence.

Try the public tools and take one work-order workflow through the trial. Decide on the product that your team can operate consistently.
